Beth Slusser
Beth Slusser represents Herff Jones Yearbooks in north-central West Virginia and eastern Ohio. A West Virginia native, Beth has been involved with yearbooks since 1981, when she edited her first book at East Fairmont High School. Since then, she has spent nearly two decades teaching English and journalism at the college level, including serving as the Student Publications adviser and journalism program coordinator at Fairmont State University. She earned bachelor's degrees in graphic advertising and English, a master's degree in English and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from West Virginia University.
Prior to joining Herff Jones in July 2004, Beth advised the FSU yearbook, Mound, and the student newspaper, The Columns, both of which won numerous awards in the Society for Collegiate Journalists’ national competition. The Mound was also featured in Herff Jones’ national showcase publication, Ideas That Fly. Beth has taught at various journalism and media workshops, including Clarion (PA) University’s College Media Day, United High School Media Day, Gettysburg Yearbook Experience, the Ohio Yearbook Educators’ Association, YBKCamp, and she is a member of College Media Advisers, the Society for Professional Journalists, and the West Virginia Press Association.
She was awarded the Society for Collegiate Journalists’ President’s Award in 2005, and was named the Braxton County Chapter of Quill & Scroll Honorary Member in 2008.
Beth is experienced in the technical, creative and practical aspects of yearbook production, and provides her schools with the quality service and attention that they need to produce publications that advisers, principals and student body members are proud to call their own.

Josh Gross
Josh Gross represents Herff Jones Yearbooks in southern West Virginia. A West Virginia native, Josh has been involved with yearbooks since 1998, when he served on his first staff at Elkview Middle School. Josh then served on the yearbook staff at Herbert Hoover High School where he was editor for two years and was recognized for outstanding journalism publications. Josh earned a bachelor's degree in political science from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Josh was a three year member of the Wesleyan Yearbook Staff and served as Chief Editor from 2003-2005. While at Wesleyan, Josh was also an elected member to the college’s Publication Board.
Prior to joining Herff Jones in August 2007, Josh worked for Sprouse Consulting, a political consulting firm in Charleston, WV.
When he isn’t working on yearbooks, Josh enjoys playing tennis in his spare time. He has played tennis since 6th grade and has won numerous local, state, and national awards. He is a current member of the United States Tennis Association and the Charleston YMCA Adult Tennis League.
Josh currently resides in Elkview, WV with his dog Bailey.
